London ON - (March 5, 2009) Critical Outcome Technologies Inc. (COTI) was announced today as the next recipient of London’s Featured Company Award presented by the London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and the City of London.

COTI is an emerging drug discovery company that is positioned to help the global pharmaceutical industry get drugs to market faster.

At COTI’s core is a novel, proprietary technology called CHEMSAS® that accelerates drug discovery. Using CHEMSAS, COTI is able to identify and optimize small molecules in 3 months. The traditional pharmaceutical approach can take as long as 48 months.

The company has focused its efforts on identifying potential treatments for diseases for which therapies are lacking or ineffective. The corporate vision is to be instrumental in saving thousands of lives by fast-tracking development of new treatment options.

COTI has enjoyed rapid growth over the last 2.5 years. It became publically traded on the Toronto Venture Exchange, expanded its staff team from 2 employees to 11, and has begun to establish and nurture mutually beneficial business relationships with several major global pharmaceutical organizations. In 2008 COTI was recognized as a nominee for Early Stage Company of the Year by BIOTECanada.
