Student Ambassadors Wanted

The London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is currently planning the 8th annual Student 2 Business (S2B) Networking Conference. This event brings together 500 students and over 250 business leaders for an afternoon of workshops, skill building, and networking. 

S2B provides students with the opportunity to meet and network with employers, find companies that fit with their values and career aspirations, and learn about workplace trends; the skills, experience and knowledge required to get hired into the industry. 
The LEDC is currently recruiting energetic and dedicated students to serve as S2B ambassadors to promote and market the Student 2 Business Networking Conference during the 2014-2015 academic terms. The conference will take place on March 11, 2015.  

Role & Responsibilities 

Promote S2B and increase awareness on campus:
-    Make presentations to key clubs and social groups on campus.
-    Build relationships with professors on your campus
-    Use online platforms and social media to engage students and promote the opportunity
-    Distribute posters, rave cards and other promotional materials
-    Have the ability to use creative methods to attract students to the conference 

Preferred Candidates should be:

-    Current student
-    Enthusiastic and positive; able to work with people
-    Professional attitude
-    Willing to work independently 

An interest in marketing and communications would be an asset.

What You Will Gain:

-    $500 Honorarium upon successful completion of term. 
-    Reference letter available upon completion of program
-    Complimentary ticket to Student 2 Business 2015
-    Identified as a S2B ambassador at the Conference
-    Resume experience: relationship building, marketing & communication planning, event promotions 
 

There are 2 positions available. 

How to apply

Interested candidates should submit a resume and 1 page proposal outlining how they will execute the marketing of S2B and instigate student registrations and participation in the conference.
