London Business Organizations
The London Economic Development Corporation is just one link in a growing network of London business organizations and associations that work together to make our city stronger. By working in partnership on shared priorities, businesses have found that there is much to gain.
Business Alliances
- Business Development Bank of Canada: The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) provides small and medium-sized businesses with flexible financing, affordable consulting services and venture capital. BDC supports the needs of entrepreneurs at every stage of growth.
- Emerging Leaders aims to develop the next generation of local leaders in business, technology, education, research, political, creative and cultural sectors by targeting London’s 22-44 year old population, a demographic of creative and entrepreneurial thinkers, to connect them to each other and to the London community in general.
- InterNETwork London: Anyone with an interest in technology related business initiatives is encouraged to attend InterNETwork London meetings. This grass roots organization is free and held on the first Tuesday of each month.
- London Contact Centre Association: the LCCA provides the industry and its members with a forum to meet, network and exchange information. The Association promotes on-going industry growth and development.
- London Chamber of Commerce: the Chamber is a dynamic and active organization and the voice of business in London.
- London Region Manufacturing Council: the LRMC is an industry-driven Council that fosters the growth and prosperity of the manufacturing industry in the London Region.
- London Small Business Centre: the LSBC offers business and market information, seminars and counselling to new entrepreneurs.
- TechAlliance: the TechAlliance provides networking and mentoring opportunities for new business start-ups and business expansion. TechAlliance provides a focus on what is going on in the world of high technology and how it can benefit London businesses.
- Western Business Law Clinic: the Business Law Clinic provides small start-up and early-stage businesses with student legal assistance. By connecting aspiring London entrepreneurs with law studnets, the WBLC works to motivate small businesses by providing them with high quality economic development strategies.
- The Stiller Center for Technology Commercialization: Located in the Research Park at the University of Western Ontario, this facility is designed to house start-up technology-based companies and generates synergy by bringing together great minds in research, professional, medical and commercial sectors.
