Inside London’s Tech, Digital & Creative Industry Mixer

London’s tech scene is starting the new year with some real human connection. On Feb. 5, creators, builders and innovators from across the city will gather at Innovation Works for the Tech, Digital & Creative Industry Mixer, an evening designed to spark conversation, rebuild momentum and remind people why community still matters in a hyper-digital world.

Hosted in partnership with LEDC, Innovation Works, Hive Media, Sparks Marketing Communications, and Hale Digital, the mixer arrives at a moment when collaboration is once again becoming a competitive advantage. Websites are launched remotely, games are built across time zones and content travels faster than ever, but the relationships behind that work still thrive best when people meet face to face. This event is about creating space for those connections without the pressure of pitches or polished panels.

Running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the evening brings together website creators, gamers, designers, content producers and digital makers for casual networking, shared ideas and a few well-earned snacks and beverages.

At the centre of the night is a featured panel, Building Community in a Post-COVID World, a light, conversational discussion that asks timely questions many in the sector are still navigating. How do creative professionals reconnect after years of remote work? What does meaningful collaboration look like now? And how can local talent better support one another as the industry continues to evolve?

“London’s tech and digital creative community has always been strongest when people show up for each other,” says Andrew Dodd, manager of tech and creative industries at LEDC. “This mixer is about rebuilding those connections, sharing ideas and helping to bring together a community that is, from what we’re hearing, a bit fractured.”

Rather than formal presentations, the panel invites dialogue. Attendees are encouraged to share perspectives, listen to local voices and contribute to a broader conversation about where London’s digital creative community goes next. For newcomers to the scene, it’s a welcoming entry point. For established professionals, it’s a chance to reconnect and help shape what comes next.

With space limited and interest growing, early registration is encouraged. Whether you’re looking to meet collaborators, find inspiration or simply reconnect with the local scene, Feb. 5 offers a reason to step away from the screen and back into the community.
