What is the IP Boot Camp Program?
The IP Strategy Boot Camp was developed in collaboration with Western’s Faculty of Law and WORLDiscoveries to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of how to protect and manage their intangible assets. This program is best suited for inventors, creators, entrepreneurs, and start-up founders aiming to protect and commercialize their intangible assets through patents, trademarks, industrial design, copyright, and other types of intellectual property rights. This program is also ideal for people who are interested in learning about how to develop an IP strategy for their projects, while simultaneously providing great networking opportunities for entrepreneurial minded individuals.
The IP Strategy Boot Camp is an intensive course divided into six 90-minute sessions that cover various topics related to the management and commercialization of IP rights. All sessions are currently being carried out remotely via Zoom. Enrollment is limited to 25 participants. Upon attending all six sessions, participants will receive a certificate of completion. This program is free of charge. The first step to applying to the program is to fill out the Expression of Interest (EOI) Form, which can be found on the webpage. We are hoping to begin the outreach by Monday, September 26th.
