The Job Closer: Time-Saving Techniques for Acing Resumes, Interviews, Negotiations, and More

Dates

-

Job searching is a frustrating and time-consuming activity, but what if it didn’t have to be?

Recipes are far more useful than lists of ingredients to aspiring cooks, yet job seekers are routinely given lists of tips instead of exact instructions for tackling common job search challenges.

In this workshop, The 2-Hour Job Search author and Duke MBA career coach Steve Dalton offers exact instructions – rather than a series of tips – from his new book The Job Closer for effectively and quickly solving such challenges, like preparing a resume, writing a cover letter, or answering common interview questions like “Tell me about yourself” or “What is your biggest weakness?”

To create these job search recipes, Dalton drew upon not only his 17 years as a career coach working with thousands of students, but also academic research and best practices from industries ranging from psychology to game theory to screenwriting. Attendees of this workshop will leave with a better understanding for which job search tasks matter more than others, as well as a recipe for solving each one, quickly and easily.
