23 musical acts, one Grand Theatre stage, plenty of East Coast spirit

Some of the biggest names on the London music scene will perform in the season-ending production of Neptune Theatre Company’s East Coast Kitchen Party at the Grand Theatre.

The 23 London musical acts will each perform a 15-minute set during a performance of The East Coast Kitchen Party and a 30-minute set immediately following the show in the Drewlo Lounge.

The East Coast Kitchen Party, co-created and directed by Jeremy Webb, the company’s artistic director, runs from April 18 until May 7.

“The spirit of the East Coast, and the pride of London are alive and well at the Grand Theatre today as we announce the extraordinary cast and guest artists of East Coast Kitchen Party,” said Dennis Garnhum, the Grand Theatre’s artistic director,

“After a comprehensive, city-wide application process, we are thrilled to welcome 23 diverse and remarkably talented London musicians to join our cast of Maritimers – live and in person – on the Spriet Stage for a concert experience like no other.”

The lineup of London talent includes: The Sheridan Band (7:30 p.m. April 18), Bernie Gilmore (7:30 p.m. April 19), Emily Jean Flack (7:30 p.m. April 20), The Pairs (8 p.m. April 21), The Marrieds (2 p.m. April 22),  Jesse Grandmont (8 p.m. April 22), Richard Gracious (2 p.m. April 23), Stephen Ingram (7:30 p.m. April 25), Alexandra Kane (11 a.m. April 26), The Light of East Ensemble (7:30 p.m. April 26), Paul Mills (7:30 p.m. April 27), Asante (8 p.m. April 28), Sarah MacDougall (2 p.m. April 29), Maggie’s Wake (8 p.m. April 29), Charlie Weber & The Glorious Failures (2 p.m. April 30),  Jordan McDonald (7:30 p.m. May 2), The Roxy Paradox (1 p.m. May 3), Dayna Manning (7:30 p.m. May 3), Leanne Mayer (7:30 p.m. May 4), Twin-Fin (8 p.m. May 5), Magenta (2 p.m. May 6), Paris Monroe (8 p.m., May 6) and Justin Maki Band, (2 p.m. May 7).

The East Coast Kitchen Party is described in press materials as “a concert celebration set in a kitchen, where the instruments come out, and friends start to play some of the best music that the East Coast has to offer.”

Reprising their roles from the 2018 world premiere of East Coast Kitchen Party (also known as: Argyle Street Kitchen Party) at the Neptune Theatre are Malia Rogers, Celia Owen, Karen Lizotte, and award-winning musician and East Coast Kitchen Party co-creator Ian Sherwood.
