City reveals jam-packed summer event season on Dundas Place

The City is excited to announce Dundas Place will be jam-packed with events this summer, including a wide variety of weekly events and large-scale special events.

"Festivals and events provide the best opportunities to experience the vibrancy of Dundas Place. You can expect to see the return of some community favourites, as well as some exciting new events on Dundas Place this summer. I hope to see you there,” says Mayor Josh Morgan.

Weekly events

The City is offering a wide variety of weekly reoccurring events and activities on Dundas Place, all free to attend. Popular events including Street Salsa Fridays, Sunday Jazz in Market Lane and Games in Market Lane are making a return to Dundas Place this summer. In addition, the City will be offering some new events on Dundas Place, including the Core Area Walking Group and Summer Street Curling. These events will be offered now until September 15, 2023. 

“Join us for the new Core Area Walking Group, where our Core Area Ambassadors will take you through Downtown, Midtown and Old East Village and share information about their favourite hidden gems, upcoming events and historical points of interest in the Core,” says Ryan Craven, Manager of Core Area Programs.

Special events

From mouth-watering food events to vibrant cultural festivals and outdoor movie nights to vintage clothing markets, there will be something for Londoners of all ages and abilities to enjoy on Dundas Place this summer! New this year, the City is hosting Summer Saturdays on Dundas Place, a monthly event series featuring vendors, live music, dance lessons, circus performances and more. Each event will have a unique theme and community partner. Upcoming dates include Saturday, July 15 with the South Asian Cultural Festival, Saturday, August 12 with the Latin Community Festival and Saturday, September 16 with Doors Open London.
