Gaming Union Investment

LONDON, Ontario – July 7, 2010.  The newly incorporated Gaming Union Inc., a start-up video game news and reviews publication, has signed a significant investment agreement with RBJ Holdings Inc., a Canadian-based investment group. The deal will accelerate Gaming Union's office expansion to a downtown London, Ontario, Canada location, the growth of the company's sales and marketing team, as well as the capital necessary to fuel the company's success into the years to come. This represents a major accomplishment as the company was only formed just over a year ago with the vision of becoming an authoritative publication within the video games industry.

Founded by Kyle Wynen and Darryl Kearvell, Gaming Union has grown in the last fifteen months from a small singular website, to a network of six websites that has served over 2.5 million visitors and more than 6 million page views. Gaming Union also produces a number of popular podcast series, such as FF & KH Union, MiniGUP and LiveWareNetwork. The publication has attended numerous trade events all over the world, such as E3 (09/10), GamesCom and the Tokyo Games Show, while partnering with others, such as DIG London and the Montreal International Game Summit.

Towards the beginning of 2010, Gaming Union finished in the top 3 in the Venture London Business Competition, an event which promotes and aids entrepreneurial ventures in the city of London, Ontario. Gaming Union's success in the competition lead to developing close ties with RBJ Holdings, and in the months to follow, an investment deal between the two companies.

"It's been an exciting journey to build up Gaming Union's online network, securing contacts and relations across the video game industry, and now signing an investment deal that will accelerate our rapid growth plan, "said Co-CEO, Co-President and Managing Editor of Gaming Union Inc., Kyle Wynen. "Our team couldn't be more excited. We have developed our own dream co mpany and careers, and now through working with RBJ Holdings Inc., not only have we secured significant capital, but the backing, network and entrepreneurial leadership from a group with decades of business experience." On behalf of RBJ Holdings, Rob Douglas said, “Gaming Union has the markings of a great company -- content rich founders, leadership strength, a ‘can do’ team, a compelling value proposition in the expanding gaming industry and the right business vision for the future.”

London, Ontario, Canada is a growing development hub within Canada for the video games industry, making for a strategic location for Gaming Union to grow. To further expand its platform, Gaming Union will join with DIG London to host the first ever Gaming Union Expo in November 2010. Moving into the future, further expansion will see an office opening in the United Kingdom, as well as further websites being added to the network.
