London Startup Scratchd Inc. Unveils New Self-Serve Experience Marketing Product

London based tech start-up Scratchd Inc. is pleased to announce the official launch of their new “Scratchd On-Site” product, allowing users to create custom digital promotions quickly and easily for their businesses. Brands and businesses can sign up at scratchd.ca to try the program.  It is free to demo and requires no credit upon sign-up.

“We are very excited about this new product. Customers can access our unique campaign creator to build and execute exciting digital promotions at their own convenience,” says Diana Robbins, who founded the company with James Lynch in 2012. “There are a lot marketing options to help businesses get new customers through the door,” adds James. “Our focus is on customer relationships and retention.  We call it experience marketing.”  

Scratchd started as a retail mobile application in 2012 but in a response to market demands, quickly transformed into a commercial offering, allowing businesses to better connect with their key audiences. Working with local advisors and mentors, the Scratchd team adopted a lean methodology to test multiple variations, identifying ineffective models and adapting quickly to develop a product optimized for the market.  “We have spent two years generating ideas, building, validating, and learning to find the right fit in the market,” notes Diana. “We knew mobile users loved scratching on the app but when we gave our brand partners the option to try the On-Site product, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Support from London organizations such as the London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC), Tech Alliance, Startup London and BizInc have been vital in the process.”

“The tech sector is an important part of the London economy and Scratchd is a great example of the tremendous innovation and creativity local start-up companies offer the world,” says Jack Adams, Manager of Growth and Retention at the L.E.D.C. “I’ve been very impressed with the agility the company has shown. They’ve been listening to their market and adapting their product. I think that has been a key to their success.”

In six months since the On-Site product was privately launched, the company has executed multiple promotions with national brands and is excited to unveil the program to all merchants. New “chance to win” experiences are also expected in the upcoming months including digital peel & win, and digital spin & win.
