City of London Transportation Plan
General
This London 2030 Transportation Master Plan (TMP) study began in the fall of 2009 with the mandate of updating the 2004 TMP. Following the 2004 study, the London Transit Commission (LTC) completed a Transit Ridership Growth Strategy in 2006 which recommended implementation of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) strategy to achieve the mode share targets of the 2004 TMP. The City of London (the City) also completed their first Bicycle Master Plan in 2007, which contained a number of recommendations to enhance cycling facilities throughout the City.
The primary scope of this TMP update was to build upon the recommendations from these recent studies, incorporate the most recent strategic planning objectives of City Council and assess the viability of implementing a rapid transit system for the City.

East Park London

Whether they are rocketing a little white ball down a fairway or throwing themselves down a waterslide, Londoners have made “playtime” a priority. That is why East Park has become London’s Place to Play!
Programs were developed over the years including Summer Junior Day Camps, which now range from golf to rock climbing to fun camps with over 700 campers each season. Other innovative programs include the East Park Corporate Challenge, various Team Building Events and now, the very popular East Park Amazing Race. Of course, Golf Tournaments and Corporate & Family Picnics are still a mainstay of the summer happening at the park.
Today, East Park offers an 18 hole golf course, driving range, two mini-golf courses, batting cages, a go-kart track, seven water slides, a splash pad with a waterclimber, a wavepool, a rock climbing wall, bumper cars, jungle gym, a video arcade and two on-site indoor café/bar areas and an outdoor Tiki Bar in the waterpark.
Eldon House

Virtually unchanged since the nineteenth century, Eldon House is London’s oldest residence and contains family heirlooms, furnishings and priceless treasures of the Harris Family. Eldon House is a historic site in downtown London that has been preserved and maintained since 1960 when it was donated to the City of London. It was home to four generations of the Harris family, and is an excellent example of Georgian and Regency architectural styles. Its gardens are considered among the most beautiful in the city.
As you enter through the front doors, you will be welcomed by an Eldon House Historical Interpreter who will answer your questions and assist in making your visit as convenient and comfortable as possible. The tours of the museum are self-guided with opportunity to learn about the life and times, and collections of Harris Family from staff and panels throughout the historic home.

Our 3,000 acre conservation area was created when the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) built Fanshawe Dam and Reservoir in 1950-52, to protect the City of London from flooding. Our "outdoor playground," perched on the edge of London, offers camping (both seasonal and overnight), boating, canoe and kayak rentals, hiking, picnicking, mountain biking, bird watching, fishing, special events, and so much more!
Fanshawe CA is one of three large, multi-use conservation areas in the Upper Thames River watershed, the others being Wildwood CA and Pittock CA.

London Music Hall is a fabulous live music venue with balcony views to the stage, right on downtown’s gritty main street in London. It’s the destination of small to medium sized acts coming through Southwestern Ontario. The main venue has a 1600-person capacity with an elevated 36’ W x 20’D x 4’H stage, curtains and 2 green rooms including a private bathroom and 2 showers. There is a size mezzanine overlooking the stage. Floor to ceiling from the floor is 26 ft, from the stage is 22 ft. Rum Runner’s bar on site has a 350 person capacity with a green room and private bathroom. A list of all available lighting and sound gear is available on their website. Some parking is on site but city-run lots are also nearby.
