The London & Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership and its community partners are pleased to announce the 9th annual All Are Welcome Here: Looking Forward and Acknowledging the Past: Voices of Immigrants in Our Community
All Are Welcome Here brings together community members from across London and Middlesex to celebrate our region's diversity and learn how to build more welcoming communities.
This year's event marks London's bicentennial with a special focus on the immigration history and present of London and Middlesex and the diverse communities that have shaped our city.
What to Expect
- Indigenous opening ceremony with drumming
- Keynote presentation on London's immigration history and present
- Presentation of recent newcomer survey findings
- Interactive bicentennial-themed icebreaker
- Welcoming Landlord and Workplace awards ceremony
- Provided meal with live music
- Poetry readings by local poets from London and Middlesex
- Collaborative poetry workshop (write individually or with your table)
- Open sharing session for those who wish to read their work
