In a digitally-dependent work environment, employees require 21st century skills to fully leverage the benefits of remote/hybird work. This half day workshop aims to equip employees with the tools needed to thrive  in a remote/hybrid workplace and address the common challenges that accompany this model of work. 

Topics include: optimizing health and well-being in the face of technology, learning how to avoid the isolation trap, leveraging one’s physical and digital workspace, managing digital distractions, and how to effectively collaborate, communicate and connect virtually. 

Learning outcomes:

  • Incorporate digital wellness strategies into their daily routines

  • Identify ways to increase connection and collaboration in a remote/hybrid workplace

  • Implement ways to optimize remote and hybrid performance 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? 

This workshop is applicable to everyone as we all live in a digital world. It could be of interest to human resource professionals, CEOs/Executive Directors, board members and program managers as they are responsible for setting up performance management, workplace culture and supporting teams including staff and volunteers.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Lisa Pender, M. A. is the founder of Digitally Well. She is a passionate digital wellness educator, trainer and speaker and is also a contributing LifeSpeak, Inc. expert on digital wellness. 

Lisa achieved her Digital Wellness Educator certificate from the Digital Wellness Institute and is a graduate of the Mindfulness in Modern Society program at McMaster University ('22). She has been a college sociology professor for over 14 years and holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo and an hons. B.A. from McMaster University. 

Lisa is a volunteer with the Children's Screen Time Action Network and lives, works and volunteers in the Hamilton, ON area.
