We are excited to partner with Fanshawe College once again to host our Emergency Preparedness Day event. Join us for a day full of fun activities, prizes, and emergency preparedness tips!
Activities schedule
- Explore inside emergency vehicles and chat with first responders
- Learn from community organizations about emergency preparedness and recovery
- Check out our recruitment booths set up in Forwell Hall
- Enjoy face painting and balloon animals
- Pet and hang out with therapy dogs
- Tree giveaway – first come, first serve!
- The following tree species will be available: red maple, white birch, button bush, tulip-tree, chinquapin oak, apple "empire", apple "golden delicious", apple "red delicious", and sour cherry "evans".
- Paint a plow
- Spray the fire hose
- Attend the Adventure Smart “Hug-a-tree and survive” presentation that helps lost children survive in the woods
- Contest giveaway
Food trucks

How do I get there?
The event will be held at Fanshawe College's campus located on 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd. Outdoor activities will take place in parking lot 6, with additional activities (including the recruitment zone) inside Forwell Hall.
There will be free public parking available in lot 5. You can enter through Cheapside Street to avoid construction.
