The Government of Ontario is organizing a webinar to outline opportunities for SMEs to capitalize on India’s clean energy goals including energy access, security and sustainability.
India is the third-largest energy-consuming country in the world. Its energy demand is rising rapidly, buoyed by industrial growth and urbanization. As India continues to modernize its national power grid, demand remains high for traditional transmission and distribution equipment, as well as smart-grid innovations that improve reliability and stability.
The Indian government is undertaking large-scale, sustainable power projects and heavily promoting green energy. India aims to build 500 GW of renewable energy capacity and produce 5 million metric tons of green hydrogen by 2030. By 2070, it plans to reach a net-zero target.
