Interested in entrepreneurship but don’t have an idea? Consider Proteus – a reverse pitch competition.
About this event
ProteusIC – a four-month long competition that challenges you to create a commercialization plan for 1 of 6 technologies developed out of Ontario's research institutions and then pitch it to a panel of judges.
Western University is partnering with McMaster University, University of Windsor, University of Waterloo, University of Guelph and Wilfrid Laurier University to bring you six technologies for you to develop commercialization plans for.
Successful teams have the chance to win 1 of 6 prizes of $5000; and have the opportunity to be involved in the further commercialization of the technology including a possible spin off company!
The launch event will introduce you to the competition, key dates and deadlines and a presentation about each technology. You will then have the option to move into breakout rooms where you can talk to each innovator about their technology so you can choose the best one for you and your team.
You can learn more about the competition on the ProteusIC website.
This is a virtual event and attendees will be provided with a link to the virtual platform via email so be sure to register to receive your invite! An email will be sent 1 day before the event and again 1 hour before the event with the platform link.
