Dates
This February, join the Canadian Club of London for a timely and thoughtful conversation with Abe Oudshoorn, Associate Professor at Western University and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal on Homelessness. A community health nurse by background, Dr. Oudshoorn’s program of research focuses on preventing and ending homelessness, from local processes of providing permanent supportive housing, up to national policies and international development. He is an internationally recognized expert in this field, having obtained more that $20 million in research funding and recently completed a tour as a Visiting Professor in Santiago, Chile.
This discussion will investigate the root causes of homelessness, strategies and approaches that have been successful in Canada and elsewhere, and what initiatives are happening locally.
