The Ivey Field Project (IFP) is a capstone experience that pairs high-performing HBA students with organizations across Canada and beyond to tackle real, high-stakes business problems. Please find more information attached.
Thousands of organizations. from Fortune 500 companies to SMEs to non-profits, have partnered with Ivey student teams on projects such as:
- Grow the top line — Market entry plans, growth strategies, brand and customer acquisition
- Sharpen the bottom line — Operational efficiency, cost analysis, financial modeling
- Plan the future — Strategic roadmaps, business plans, M&A and partnership evaluations
- Build the organization — Talent strategy, hiring systems, organizational design
- Lead on emerging priorities — ESG and sustainability roadmaps, AI and digital transformation
- Advance your mission — Donor development, fundraising strategy, and impact measurement (non-profits)
- Every engagement culminates in a professional, board-ready deliverable — a written report, financial model, and executive presentation designed to be implemented, not shelved.
What We Ask of You as a Client: The IFP is designed to fit the schedule of a busy executive. Your commitment is straightforward:
- A project kickoff meeting (1-2 hours) to bring the team up to speed
- Bi-weekly 30-minute check-ins from mid-September through November
- Timely access to the financial data, people, and information the team needs
- Attendance at the final presentation in mid-December / early January (on-site or virtual)
- That's it. The students do the heavy lifting — supported by faculty advisors — and you receive strategic work of a caliber that would typically command a significant consulting fee.
