Lawson recognizes Dr. Jeff Carson as this year's recipient of the Lawson Innovation Prize
LONDON, Ontario Lawson Health Research Institute (Lawson) will be hosting a celebratory cocktail reception on Wednesday, October 7th to honor the innovative and translational breast cancer research of Dr. Jeff Carson, this year's winner of the Lawson Innovation Prize.

About the Lawson Innovation Prize
The Lawson Innovation Prize is a $150,000 award, to facilitate a ground-breaking research project. It is available to Lawson scientists who are conducting research within London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care, London.
"We want the Lawson Innovation Prize to create solutions to 'big' health research questions that typically involve a multi-skilled, multi-disciplinary approach that builds on existing or planned infrastructure, equipment or human resource investments by Lawson," says Dr. David Hill, Scientific Director at Lawson, "Such research should be pivotal in pushing forward our ability to deal effectively with health issues for which the London hospitals have a mandate for care."
Recognizing that the achievement of landmark research advances is a highly competitive process, the Lawson Innovation Prize provides a needed financial boost to yield rapid progress that could not be achieved through conventional competitive funding processes.
