Congratulations to the Nominees and Winners of Limitless 2023

Techalliance of Southwestern Ontario announced five winners at Limitless: A Celebration of Regional Innovation, held at The Factory, 100 Kellogg Lane on February 8, 2023. Acknowledging the impact that innovators are creating in our region, this celebration spotlights ventures and entrepreneurs who bring groundbreaking solutions, cultivate progressive work cultures, and showcase growth and in the innovation ecosystem. 

The recipients were selected by distinguished industry leaders, with the People’s Choice Award chosen through public voting. The awards and recipients in each category are as follows: 

The Breakthrough Award recognizes a technology-driven company that demonstrates next-level innovation with a novel solution that has seen significant market impact. Congratulations to the recipient of this award, Tenomix. Pioneering the first automated solution to help pathology teams with reliable lymph node collection for accurate identification of cancer spread in surgically removed cancer tissues, this venture is truly advancing the medtech and life sciences sector through their innovation. 

The Gamechanger Award recognizes a company creating positive impact through company culture, and advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion to further build a vibrant Southwestern Ontario tech community. Congratulations to the recipient of this award, LBMX. With a high retention rate and opportunities for personal and professional development, LBMX cultivates a culture that is paramount to the success of their business and the growth of this region. 

The Scaleup Award recognizes a venture that has realized substantial growth within the year through leadership, market impact, and innovation. Congratulations to the recipient of this award, Mobials. In the past 12 months, Mobials embarked on four new partnerships, completed four acquisitions and substantially grew their team to over 100 employees, making them the undisputed leader in Southwestern Ontario’s auto and tech sector.  

The Forthcomer Award recognizes a young professional and true trailblazer, 29 years of age and under, who is creating an impact and disrupting through innovation. Congratulations to the recipient of this award, Nadia Ladak Founder of Marlow. Introducing the world to the first-ever lubricated tampon, Marlow is building the future of menstrual wellness. With a community of 40,000 menstruators, they are challenging the stigma around menstrual health through education and conversation. 

The People’s Choice Award honors a standout in the innovation space, selected from the finalists across all categories through public voting. Congratulations to Food Security Structures Canada, the People’s Choice Award recipient. Inspired by the goal of ending world hunger and encouraging people to eat healthier and more nutritious foods, Food Security Structures Canada provides technology to create the highest yielding indoor environment for high-density cultivation.
