We sure do — and now there’s a whole new way to show it.
From surprising trivia to proud “did-you-know” moments, Love London Canada is here to remind everyone why this city’s got serious main-character energy.
When Christine Wilton joined LEDC as Director of Workforce Development, it was teased that even though she’s a lifelong Londoner, she was learning so many new things about her own city she could compete on Jeopardy! — “I’ll take London for $800.”
That spark of curiosity, paired with the undeniable on-camera chemistry between Christine and Ashley Conyngham, LEDC’s Director of Communications, led to something special. And just like that, Love London Canada was born.
Playful. Fast-paced. Proudly homegrown.
Love London Canada is a video series that helps people see the Forest City in a whole new light.
Written and filmed locally by Adam Caplan of web.is.odes and shot on location at Museum London, the series features Ashley and Christine trading fun, surprising, and sometimes laugh-out-loud facts about London — from London’s role as a national test market to our world-class health-tech breakthroughs, musical legends, and foodie favourites.
Each short episode is packed with “wait, really?!” moments, the kind that make both newcomers and lifelong residents smile, learn something new, and feel a little more proud to call London home.
But this isn’t just about fun facts. It’s about reframing the conversation about London. Behind the humour and curiosity is a serious goal: showcasing London as a city where talent thrives and investment grows. Each story reflects the innovation, creativity, and community spirit that make London one of Canada’s most dynamic mid-sized cities — a place where businesses can succeed and people want to build their lives.
That message continues on the companion microsite, ledc.com/love-london-canada, which invites visitors to explore the Forest City through themes like Live, Work, Play, and Invest.
What began as a fun conversation and spark of curiosity has become one of LEDC’s most beloved storytelling platforms and certainly bucks the corporate communications norms by blending personality, pride, and a sense of humour. Something LEDC has been doing quite a bit of lately, with their cheeky don’t tell Toronto campaign and provocative Choose London campaign. And they’re just getting started. They have a passion for celebrating all that is good, funny and interesting about London.
