London-based contract brewery Equals Brewing Company has acquired Collingwood’s Side Launch Brewing, the company announced on Thursday. The two companies are describing the deal as a “commitment to build on their respective leadership positions in Canada’s craft landscape,” and will bring Side Launch alongside the hard seltzer brand Bangarang as one of Equals’ flagship brands. "Like so many beer-lovers in Ontario, we've admired Side Launch from afar for close to a decade,” said Equals’ president Justin McKellar. “We love the entire beer portfolio, and love the location in Collingwood, and love the experience and energy of the team.”
