An Exceptional Collaboration between UNESCO’s Canadian Creative Cities: Celestia

LONDON, June 24, 2025 – The first collaborative project amongst all four Canadian UNESCO Creative Cities (Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto & London) comes to London this week! Celestia by Kleis Inc. is an art experience that blends all four creative fields into one engaging installation. The exhibit visits London from June 26 through to July 22 at The Courtyard at 100 Kellogg Lane. Come experience a sneak peek ahead of the general public on June 26 at 10:30 am with a live music performance by Marty Kolls.

Celestia marks a thoughtful collaboration between Montreal (City of Design), Quebec City (City of Literature), Toronto (City of Digital Arts) and London (City of Music), all members of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network (UCCN). This global network fosters active cooperation between its members and is made up of 350 cities that place creativity and cultural industries at the heart of their local development strategies.

“Collaborating with fellow Canadian UNESCO Creative Cities is an opportunity to celebrate London’s involvement in the largest cultural network on planet earth. Celestia elegantly blends four creative disciplines into one beautiful art installation for Londoners to enjoy. 100 Kellogg is the perfect partner to showcase Celestia as they host Art Comp again this summer.” states Cory Crossman, Director, London Music Office and London’s UNESCO City of Music Focal Point.

As Canada’s UNESCO City of Music, we continue to explore opportunities to develop and grow the local music sector in London,” said Cory Crossman, Director, London Music Office & London UNESCO City of Music Focal Point. “Developing talent and capacity is central to London’s UNESCO City of Music Action Plan. We are now incubating music tourism programs that will enhance London’s global music identity and further build London into a thriving arts hub.”

“We wanted to highlight sisterhood, which could be part of a collection, a network that builds bridges between UNESCO cities,” said Sandrine Thériault, Project Manager of Design and Development for QDSinternational. […] “The installation represents each of the Pleiades sisters individually. Each of the seven modules, representing the seven sisters, has an assigned color, emotion, and characteristic. When participants stroll through our collection of urban furniture, they will be able to feel the different emotions.”
