CARFAX - Originally founded in 2000 as CarProof, London-born automotive insight and tech company CARFAX just celebrated its 25th anniversary. With over 45-million vehicle history reports and 500 employees at the London office, the company has become one of the largest tech employers in the region, as well as the Canadian home base for CARFAX US. 

Over the years, it has expanded its offerings beyond vehicle history to include vehicle valuation and service insights, always with the mission of empowering Canadians to make informed automotive decisions. 

“I think that is a real testament to the fact that London has created this really great opportunity for us as a business, to add to our success and being able to attract talent locally here as well,” says Ali Earle, vice president of people and workplace at CARFAX Canada. “Starting as a small startup with just sort of a handful of employees to, you know, over a 500-person operation within the CARFAX business in London and some others scattered across the country in terms of our sales teams to serve all our customers. So, you know, that's a pretty big deal.”

With its strong talent pipeline from Western University and Fanshawe College, the city has provided a skilled workforce without the high cost of living and congestion associated with larger urban centers like Toronto.
