London, Ontario – December 15, 2004 – Ms. Najla Guthrie, President & CEO and Mr. Robert A. Guthrie, V.P., Operations of KGK Synergize Inc. (KGK), have just returned to Canada following a five-day excursion to Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India, announcing their new partnership with Herbicure Pvt. Ltd. The resulting partnership is two-fold; KGK Synergize was named the exclusive North American representative of Herbicure’s product line, and Herbicure will retain KGK’s products in India. Herbicure’s product line includes ‘Panekure’ a clinically proven product for pain and ‘Asmakure’ for the relief of asthma symptoms, amongst others.
The extensive agenda in Kolkata included a Doctor’s/Press Conference held on December 5, 2004 and was attended by elite physicians including Dr. H.K. Dev and Dr. A.P. Dutta, two of Kolkata’s top senior Orthopaedic surgeons, and Dr. Animesh Chakravarty, an eminent cardiologist and physician in South Kolkata. Ms. Guthrie’s visit and presentation of KGK’s capabilities and nutraceutical product pipeline was extremely well received, attracting wide media attention including the Economic Times, India.
The agenda further included a site visit to Herbicure’s plant facilities and the Research facilities at Jadavpur University, resulting in a signed Expression of Interest to further explore the partnership between KGK Synergize and Herbicure’s Research Foundation, their new clinical trial site in Kolkata. This exclusive facility is led by Dr. Tapan Kumar Chatterjee and employs highly qualified scientific personnel and researchers provided by Jadavpur University. KGK Synergize is considering utilizing this site to augment its own superior in-house clinic, enabling the company to offer its clients high quality and valid human clinical studies at a fraction of the cost.
