KGK Synergize Inc. Announces Gras Status for Sytrinol

LONDON, ON, January 6, 2009– KGK Synergize Inc. (“KGK”), a product development and contract research organization, today announced that it has received self affirmed GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status for their flagship product, Sytrinol. An independent panel of experts assembled by AIBMR Life Sciences, reviewed the product’s profile for safety, and approved its self-affirmed status. Sytrinol, a proprietary ingredient clinically proven to improve cholesterol levels, can now be safely added to food and beverage products.

According to Najla Guthrie, President, “KGK has been working with numerous companies over the past few years to perfect the process of adding this ingredient to beverages, shakes, bars and even chocolate, without having solubility problems or the bitter taste of orange peel, the source of one of the components in the formulation”. Guthrie adds, “Sytrinol offers a new solution to food and beverage manufacturers who are interested in a patent protected heart healthy ingredient that is unlike the many others that are currently being used.”

Sytrinol, as of January 1, 2009, is now globally available through Proprietary Nutritionals, Inc.
