London Digital Gaming Company catches the Big Fish

LONDON, Ontario - Ponder Games Inc., a young digital gaming company based in London, Ontario announces the signing of a marketing and distribution contract with Big Fish Games, the world’s leading online destination for games and interactive entertainment based in Seattle, Washington. Dylan de Coning, founder and president of Ponder Games, who started his company in 2008, is excited to collaborate with such a well-known company in the industry. Ponder Games uses their games to subtly educate children on the environmental impacts of their day to day lives; concentrating on global warming, environmental awareness, and endangered species. An interest is growing very quickly in Ponder Games products. De Coning attended the Montreal International Game Conference last November and met a TV producer who is interested in creating a children’s TV show based on Ponder Games leading character Pufu, a lovable animated penguin. That same month, De Coning attended the DIG London Conference in London, Ontario and met partners who will be working on developing the TV show with him. De Coning is appreciative of the support he is receiving in the community as a new start up company. “The people at the Small Business Centre, as well as the London Economic Development Corporation have both been tremendously helpful in starting the business as well as introducing me to other businesses and professionals in the area. They definitely opened my eyes to the power and importance of networking. The video game conferences we attended were vitally important to our success, and I don’t think I could put a price on the quality of the networking we had.” Larry MacKinnon, Director Business Development, Technology of the London Economic Development Corporation has been working closely with Ponder Games and indicates “this company is a great example of the talent that resides in London and I see Ponder Games making a significant contribution to the growth of the digital gaming industry in London in the future.” For more information, contact: Dylan de Coning, President Ponder Games (519) 697-3471 Or Visit: www.pondergames.com
