A London, Ontario entrepreneur who built a global corporate events firm from the ground up is now launching a second company aimed at scaling mentorship across the industry.
Kimberley Clarke, founder of KCI Management, started her business in 2002 from London with no formal roadmap, limited income, and a young family. More than two decades later, the company employs over 40 people and delivers elite corporate programs across North America, the UK, and EMEA for major global clients including Ferrari, CrowdStrike, SAP, Zoom, and Deloitte. Despite its global reach, KCI remains anchored in London, where its headquarters
Clarke is now turning her focus to a new venture: Maestra by KCI, launched in 2026. The platform is designed to expand access to mentorship and professional development for event planners, an industry where informal networks often determine access to opportunity.
The idea stems from Clarke’s own experience building her career through mentorship and her recognition that not everyone has access to that kind of support.
Maestra aims to provide scalable guidance and connection for professionals navigating the events industry, bringing structure to what has traditionally been relationship-driven and difficult to access.
From a homegrown startup to a globally active firm, Clarke’s trajectory highlights London’s ability to support companies that operate internationally while remaining rooted locally.
