London Job Fair Sees Record Attendance

London’s Employment Ontario funded agencies and the London Economic Development Corporation hosted the 8th annual Employment Ontario Job Fair on February 13th, and saw record breaking attendance.

Over 3500 job-seekers visited the Western Fair Carousel Room, where 50 employers exhibited opportunities. It’s estimated that over 3000 positions are looking to be filled over the next 6 months from organizations in attendance. The same comment was heard from more than one employer. "Employers and organizers were particularly impressed with the calibre of candidates we saw at the Job Fair this year!", says Karen Kloibhofer, Employment Solutions Consultant at Fanshawe College.

The fair will return February 2014. A larger venue is being investigated to accommodate a growing number of employers interested in recruiting at London’s largest job fair.

This event has been organized by a committee composed of London Employment Ontario Service Providers including: Goodwill Career Centre, WIL Employment Connections, Community Employment Services Fanshawe, London Employment Help Centre, Employment Options Emploi, Nokee Kwe Occupational Skills Development, Youth Opportunities Unlimited, London Training Centre, and Community Employment Choices Middlesex along with London Economic Development Corporation.
