When Anthony Boyle was promoted to a managerial position, he found limited support for human resource needs of his team including training and mentoring. He knew his situation wasn’t unique. So, in 2005, Boyle asked a few HR professionals to craft detailed documents that would benefit employers and HR departments. He then developed a website and started working in his basement to create a one-stop shop for HR-related expertise: London’s HRdownloads was born out of this idea to make HR solutions more time and cost effective.
Started in 2008, the company provides innovative, business strategies to organizations, big and small. From providing support with HR documentation to consulting and training, HRdownloads takes pride in their value-driven, ground breaking solutions to improve operations.
Recognized for their efforts in changing the HR landscape in London, HRdownloads was recently presented with Featured Company Award by the London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and the City of London. The award celebrates innovation and demonstrated leadership in the city and is a way to thank companies for their contributions to the community.
“I am very honoured, both personally and professionally, to be recognized by the City of London and the LEDC for the accomplishments we’ve shared at HRdownloads and the contributions we’ve made,” said Boyle, who is the president and CEO of the company. “This award means a great deal to everyone at HRdownloads and demonstrates not only the wealth of business opportunities available in London, but also the support and commitment offered to growing companies.”
As testament to the company’s outstanding reputation and achievements, HRdownloads was also recognized as a finalist for the Business of the Year (Large Company) Award at the London Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Business Achievement Awards in March.
“Over the years, HRdownloads has received several awards, but nothing is as rewarding as being recognized by our own community and peers for our achievements,” Boyle said. “I can’t imagine having started HRdownloads in another city and I certainly can’t imagine moving us to anywhere else.”

The company supports various community groups including the Boys and Girls Club of London and Junior Achievement of London and District. HRdownloads has also partnered with Fanshawe College to provide students with free access to thousands of HR documents and resources.
