London, Ont., August 14, 2025 – Adonis, the Mediterranean supermarket already beloved in cities like Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Mississauga, opens today its doors in London, Ontario. The new store, its 16th location, features a vast assortment of carefully sourced and prepared ready-to-eat items, fruits and vegetables, everyday essentials and renowned brands from across Canada and the world, as well as specialty departments that transport Londoners to the ‘land of flavours’. The 46,488 square-foot supermarket also has a state-of-the-art pita production facility, allowing customers to purchase the freshest pita bread available on the market – and in the city – at every visit.
“On behalf of each member of our team, I invite all Londoners to come and live an authentic experience throughout what we call ‘the land of flavours’, and I’d add – of warm hospitality,” says Eric Provost, Vice President, General Manager at Adonis. “I could not be more excited to bring this remarkable brand and supermarket concept to London.”
Typical to most of its locations, Adonis London features a series of counters and departments that offer specialty products and prepared foods, both local and international, in popular categories like meats, fish, deli, cheese and dairy, as well as items like olives, nuts and spices. The store also has one of the largest selections of fruits and vegetables, as well as delicious desserts, including world-famous middle eastern pastries.
Although known for products and ingredients typically used and found throughout the Mediterranean basin and neighbouring countries, Adonis sources a large percentage of its products from local, Canadian partners.
“We’re proud of the culinary traditions and cultures of our ancestors, but equally proud of our local communities and the wonderful products that originate right here at home,” says Sherif El Gharbawy, Regional Manager for Adonis in Ontario. “This commitment to local and our neighbours also influences our product choices.”
With sampling opportunities consistently available throughout the year, Adonis encourages customers to try new products and engage its team members with questions. As of opening day, the London location counts an employee base of some 150 staff who have been carefully trained in the brand’s culture, commitment to service excellence and passion for helping customers discover the breadth of Adonis’ products.
To celebrate the opening, Adonis is offering one of its most bold price-based promotions and sampling events. Details on weekly promotions can be found at adonis.ca or by following the banner on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
In the spirit of putting down roots in London, Adonis has donated some $30,000 to at least seven local community groups and organizations, with more expected to come.
