Partnar Animal Health is pleased to announce the formation of PharmaChem Academy, a micro credential program to train those who have completed an undergraduate degree in Science or Chemical Engineering to be trained as Analytical Chemists.
The exciting news is that through a grant PharmaChem Academy received from the Ontario Skills Development Fund, the company is seeking eight students from London and Area biotech companies who would like to enrol in this 6-8 week program at no charge.
The PAH laboratory is Health Canada GMP,GLP inspected and compliant for analytical tests of all dose forms. The program is staffed by industry experienced chemists who can share their experience with our students.
The program consists of three modules. The first, online completion of the BioTalent Canada courses covering GMP, GLP, QA/QC Fundamentals, Scientific Report Writing and Laboratory Calculations. Moving on to the second module will be 14 online theoretical courses covering all the equipment you will be using in the laboratory. Upon successful completion of the second module you will then move into our Huron Street laboratory to conduct analysis using USP methods to determine various parameters required for the materials you will be testing.
Through all this you will also learn how to trouble shoot the equipment and complete out of specification investigations. Your timeline to completion of the course will be up to you. The critical end point for your instructors is to ensure you become a competent analytical chemist.
