LONDON, Ontario, May 17, 2012 — Stream Global Services, a significant employer in London, Ontario, is hosting an event today for employees and guests to celebrate a decade of operations in London. The London facility is one of 50 large call centers that Stream operates around the World. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of London site, the company is hosting an employee cookout and other entertainment today from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Activities will take place in Stream’s front parking. The facility is located at 568 Second Street in London.
Events will include a daylong barbecue along with live music and prize giveaways for employees. The celebration will focus on the company’s 10 years of providing jobs and career opportunities in London. Stream has continued to provide job opportunities for local residents despite a challenging economic climate.
“We currently have close to 800 employees in London. Our facility provides customer and tech support for clients in the telecommunications and technology industries,” said Beth Pustai, human resources manager for Stream in London. “At a time when many other employers in the area are scaling back their operations, we continue to hire and are currently looking to fill a number of customer service and support positions. Today’s event is a celebration of a decade of opportunities at Stream in London.”
