Vaccine Policy Guidance from Middlesex London Health Unit

Dear Members,

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and increasing cases of the more transmissible delta variant, the London Chamber of Commerce supports measures that will protect the public and help keep businesses open.

Recently the Middlesex London Health Unit (MLHU) released a letter to London employers recommending that they implement mandatory vaccine policies in the workplace. The London Chamber is in the process of adopting these recommendations into its own workplace policy and supports the MLHU recommendation to other employers to do the same.

While there are many public health measures that businesses continue to implement, such as symptom screening, hand hygiene and masking, mandatory vaccination policies will also help to prevent cases, outbreaks, death and business closures.

For any employers looking to implement their own policy, the following resources from MLHU can serve as a general guide.

Please consult with your own human resource and legal professionals for specific advice pertaining to your business.

Sincerely,

Graham Henderson
CEO, London Chamber of Commerce
