Voices Recognized Among Best Places to Work with New Remote and Hybrid Work Opportunities

London, ON | July 13, 2021

Voices, the world’s leading marketplace for creative talent, has been named one of London’s Best Places to Work in the Large Business category by London Inc. Magazine, London’s premier business publication. Each year, the magazine searches for London, ON’s best workplace cultures to feature on its sought-after list. Voices is proud to be listed alongside several other London-based businesses.

“We have always recognized that what makes Voices a special place to work are our people,” says David Ciccarelli, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Voices. “That’s why, as we moved to a virtual working environment, we knew we first had to create stability in the midst of chaos by upholding our cultural routines such as the Weekly Huddle and the Quarterly Rally. Augmenting these existing cultural practices with new ones—such as video chats, giving digital feedback with more frequency, and strategic alignment sessions—set us up to thrive in an otherwise challenging year.”

Companies who receive this recognition are evaluated by their own employees in three areas as described by London Inc. Magazine: Commitment—being strongly involved in one’s work and experiencing a sense of meaning, enthusiasm, inspiration, pride, and challenge; Effort—high levels of energy and mental toughness while working, the willingness to invest effort in one’s work, and determination in the face of difficulties; and Interest—being focused and happily involved in one’s work, where time passes quickly.

Ann Walton, VP of People & Operations at Voices, adds, “We’re delighted to receive consistent feedback from our teams that they feel secure, supported, and valued in the decisions being made at Voices—even virtually—because they’re part of the process. In fact, our work from home offering has been so successful that it will now be a permanent work model option. Our colleagues now have the choice to work completely remotely, utilize a hybrid approach of in-office and at-home days, or return to the office.”

The employee engagement survey used to assess companies for the Best Places to Work list was developed by Ahria Consulting, London’s leading human resources management consulting firm, in partnership with the Industrial Organizational Psychology Department at Western University. Using the very best in assessment tools and protocols, the survey allows employees to respond transparently and honestly to inquiries about their engagement and their company’s workplace culture.

Voices is often recognized for its focus on and dedication to employee health, safety, wellness, and satisfaction, and has been named to similar lists in the past.
