Wellspring and London Hydro partner to Light up Wellspring this holiday season

Wellspring London & Region is pleased to announce that London Hydro has come forward for the second time this year to provide much-needed support to Light up Wellspring this holiday season.

This year, London Hydro took the lead as host utility for the Electrical Distributors Association (EDA) Western District and raised $52,400 at the Power of Golf Fore Charity Tournament in September 2014. Local Southwestern Electric Utility fundraising efforts have provided an additional gift of $5,000 to kick off the Light Up holiday campaign involving wreath and candle dedications made in honour or memory of those in our community affected by cancer.
“The EDA Western District has a long commitment to supporting our communities,” said Ray Tracey, Chair, EDA Western District. “It is gratifying to represent an association committed to giving back, and it is my hope that other utilities will continue to follow London Hydro’s lead to encourage this type of partnership in an effort to support the comminutes we serve.”
London Hydro and the EDA Western District members’ collective fundraising of $58,000 represent the largest single-year donation to a non-profit to date by the EDA Western District. “We are very pleased to support Wellspring London & Region this year” said Vinay Sharma, President  & CEO, and London Hydro. “We are all winners because alone we can do little, but together we can achieve great things,”

“It’s very gratifying to see how responsive the people at London Hydro and the EDA Western District are to our mission,” said Joanna Meillieur, Wellspring London and Area, Director of Development. “Everyone, from suppliers to associates to executive leadership, has embraced our mission to support those living with Cancer.”
