Western Continuing Studies Launches New Stackable Certificate in Marketing Leadership

Western University's Continuing Studies division is redefining professional and executive education for marketers with a new stackable certificate series focused on future-ready leadership. 

The Executive Certificate in Marketing Strategy and Leadership is a modular program made up of six specialized courses, aiming to equip marketing professionals with the tools to lead in an AI-powered, tech-focused world. 

The full certificate is structured into three short, stackable credentials, each comprising two targeted online courses. These mini certificates can be completed individually or combined to earn the broader executive designation, making the program flexible, fast, and practical for working professionals. 

Each course hones in on high-demand competencies needed by modern marketing leaders, including Growth Marketing, Modern SEO for the Gen AI Era, Revenue Operations, and Customer Lifecycle Strategy. Leadership development is also a core component, ensuring graduates are not just technically skilled, but equipped to lead teams and drive strategy.

I’m incredible excited that we could develop and launch this innovative program, built from the ground up by marketers for marketers, to help marketing professionals retool to help their organizations grow in a challenging environment.” 

What sets this program apart is its development by industry experts at the forefront of marketing innovation. The Modernizing SEO for the Gen AI Era course, for example, was developed in partnership with Wayne Atkinson and the team at Foundery, bringing deep insight into how search strategy must evolve in the age of generative AI. 

Other contributors include the CFL’s director of digital marketing, a private equity investor with hands-on experience building disruptive marketing strategies, and a Revenue Operations executive focused on aligning marketing with sales and customer success.
