The wonder of Disney’s Frozen arrives at the Grand Theatre

Visit the magical kingdom of Arendelle in-person at the Grand Theatre this holiday season
November 18 to December 28 on the Spriet Stage at the Grand Theatre Directed by Rachel Peake, Artistic Director of the Grand Theatre

November 11, 2025 – London, ON – London’s Grand Theatre has transformed into the magical Kingdom of Arendelle, bringing to life the Tony Award-nominated Broadway sensation – Disney’s Frozen – as this year’s annual holiday musical spectacular on the storied Spriet Stage. Each year, families, friends, and arts-lovers gather at the Grand, marking a favourite holiday tradition of theatre magic, music, and memories made together.

Frozen at the Grand promises beloved songs from Disney’s Grammy Award-winning animated film, and also new songs written for Broadway that many audiences will be hearing for the first time. The production is helmed by Artistic Director Rachel Peake, on the heels of directing last season’s beautiful, heart-warming holiday production, The Sound of Music, and a deliciously charming production of Waitress, later in the season.

“I experience all of this show through the eyes of my seven-year-old daughter, Anwen. I first watched the movie as a mother with her,” shares Peake. “Part of my joy is knowing that, like my daughter, the children in the audience will have the incredible experience of being in Arendelle in person, seeing the human forms of the characters that they love so much. It really is what theatre magic is all about.

” Frozen tells the story of two sisters, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, torn apart by a magical secret and racing against time to find their way back to each other and to the power of true love. Queen Elsa is reserved and careful, while her sister, Princess Anna, is free-spirited and playful. Elsa harbours a secret – she has powers that she cannot control, leading her to flee from the home she’s always known. Anna is determined to reunite with Elsa and break the winter spell threatening the Kingdom of Arendelle.

Disney’s Frozen at the Grand Theatre features an incredible cast of stars from across the country. Returning Grand Theatre favourite Kelly Holiff will bring Queen Elsa to life onstage, alongside Chariz Faulmino who will make her much-anticipated Grand Theatre debut as Princess Anna. They are joined by Vance Avery as Pabbie, Crystal Casera as Ensemble, Andrew Cownden as Weselton, Izad Etemadi as Olaf, Jennifer Harding as Queen Iduna, Richard Lee Hsi as Sven, Lee Siegel as Oaken and Bishop, Mark Sinongco as Kristoff, Adam Stevenson as King Agnarr, Tahirih Vejdani as Bulda, Chris Vergara as Ensemble, Aran Wilson-McAnally as Hans, and Stephanie Wolfe as Hand Maiden.

The cast of Disney’s Frozen includes a double-cast Young Company that will alternate performances. The “Reindeer” cast features Oakan Oyafuso as Young Anna and Alba Evora Weiler as Young Elsa. The “Snowmen” cast features Harmony Holder as Young Anna and Kylie Prouty as Young Elsa.

“We set out on this journey to create a stage version that honours the original film, delivering the heart and the humour, and creating the key special moments,” shares Peake. “We also celebrate the differences between stage and film, playing into the magic of seeing things live, introducing spectacular theatre to the next generation, and allowing a fresh interpretation of the characters we all love so much.”

This story of friendship, adventure, and imagination is brought to the stage by an incredible creative team. Director Rachel Peake is joined by Music Director Alexandra Kane, Choreographer Ainsley Hillyard, Music Supervisor Steven Greenfield, Set & Costume Designer Cory Sincennes, Lighting Designer Jareth Li, Projection Designer Amelia Scott, Sound Designer Owen Hutchinson, and Stage Manager Kelly Luft.

Presented by the Sifton Family Foundation, the 33rd Annual Holiday Wish for Kids performance will take place on Tuesday, November 18. That evening, over 300 children and caregivers representing over 25 agencies and community organizations will be welcomed into the Grand for a pre-show holiday party and then enjoy the show, courtesy of generous donors and sponsors.

As it has been doing for the past eight seasons, the Grand Theatre is partnering with the London Food Bank Business Cares program to help support those facing food insecurity in the city. Since launching in 2017, the campaign has raised an eight-year cumulative total of $529,964 through donations made by Grand Theatre audiences, artists, volunteers, and staff at the annual holiday show.

The Grand Theatre is located on the traditional territories of the Original storytellers and caretakers of this land and the Nations, both settler and Indigenous, who continue to uphold the various treaties of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, and Lunaapéewak. We value the significant historical and contemporary contributions of local and regional First Nations, and all of the Original Peoples of Turtle Island (colonially known as North America), and acknowledge the traditional lands upon which we live, work, share, and tell stories together.

ABOUT THE GRAND THEATRE – WORLD CURIOUS. LONDON MADE.

The Grand Theatre is known for world-class theatre created and built in London, Ontario. As southwestern Ontario’s premier producing theatre and one of the most beautiful theatre spaces in Canada, the company has deep ties to the community and to its artists, artisans, and technicians.

As a vibrant cultural hub and not-for-profit professional theatre, the Grand serves to gather, inspire, and entertain audiences in London and beyond. At our home in downtown London, we create productions on two stages: the Spriet Stage (839 seats) and the Auburn Developments Stage (144 seats). The Grand season of theatrical offerings runs from September to May, and we collaborate with companies and artists across the country through our co-productions that see London-made artistic and creative work travel to audiences nation-wide. Through our successful New Play Development Program, the Grand is committed to developing and premiering new, original works and supporting the growth and reach of theatre writers and creators. Our recently renovated venue offers a contemporary and welcoming environment that is also home to several successful music series’, community arts rentals, and cultural and special events.

A cornerstone of the organization is our place as a teaching theatre, exemplified in our many mentorship programs and highlighted in our annual Grand Theatre High School Project. As the first program of its kind in the country and currently in its twenty-seventh year, the High School Project involves as many as one hundred high school participants annually from schools across the region. These students participate at no cost and take on roles both on stage and off, in a fully realized mainstage production under the direction of a professional creative team.
