Utilismart Announces Release of Version 2.2 Upgrade To Its Residential Smart Meter Service

London, Ontario, Canada, March 13, 2009 – Utilismart Corporation, a leading provider of energy management and settlement solutions for electric and water utilities announced today, the release of its Version 2.2 upgrade to the company’s existing Utilismart Smart Metering System (USMS) and Operational Data Store (ODS) services, developed to meet the needs of residential smart meter and AMI deployments.

“Customer driven requirements in Ontario, eastern Canada and the U.S., combined with our own belief that customers would eventually want to do more with the data we were already collecting on their behalf, continues to be at the forefront of our product development activity”, commented Smith. Specifically, the release will include the following enhancements: Full Screen Interactive Meter Map, Meter Data Load Status Reports, Overall Performance Improvement and CIS Export – Support for Large Data Exports. In terms of new functionality the release will include the following features: Remote Disconnect and Reconnect and On Request Final Read.

The first production ready version of USMS was deployed in February 2008 and utilizes enterprise software applications and Tier 1 hardware platforms. The product has several key features including: data collection, data processing and storage (Operational Data Store), data delivery and web-presentment, MDM/R interfaces and services. These services are augmented by helpdesk services and supported by highly trained Lead Account Representatives.

Utilismart’s tiered pricing structure offers the customer flexibility with pricing options ranging from basic data collection services to a full turnkey solution. The introduction of USMS is the latest product added to the company’s existing suite of products and services - Settlement Manager and Energy Manager which have been in service since 2002.
