Nova Craft Canoe began in 1970, when we started producing a limited selection of fiberglass canoes in a small-scale, garage-based operation near London, Ontario, Canada. As the years passed and the reputation of our quality designs and workmanship quickly spread, the company naturally began to grow. As a result, we have steadily responded to customer requests for more model choices and material options. We are proud to say that we are now at a place where our model selection has progressed from a handful of specialized designs to a full catalogue with something to offer every paddler.

Today, we still build canoes with fiberglass but have also adopted more advanced composite materials including aramid, basalt/Innegra, and carbon fibre. We also offer plastic materials including a three-layer superlinear polyethylene. Alongside the use of these new materials came innovations in new manufacturing techniques including composite infusion, thermoplastic vacuum forming and rotational molding. With a comprehensive catalogue and ever increasing brand awareness, demand for our canoes has spread over a wider geographic area. To accomodate, we now have a dealer network that reaches throughout Canada, the United States and parts of Europe. The scope may have expanded since 1970 but our core focus remains simple - build quality canoes that give paddlers special experiences in the great outdoors. London Mechanical Services is a manufacturing corporation which specializes in the custom design and assembling of electroplating, anodizing, E coat and powder coating racks. The facility is equipped with an environmentally safe burn off oven which too k years of analyzing and experimental studies to pass Canadian specifications. This single piece of equipment has enhanced the duration which repair can be completed. CBM makes service its most important product. The basic ingredients of Ready-Mix concrete are cement, fine and coarse aggregates and water but other chemicals can be added to the mix to enhance its performance. Different mixtures can delay the hydration process to provide more pouring time, to provide more pumpability or to speed the process up to prevent downtime while waiting for the concrete to set up. Different types and proportions of cement, chemicals and water can vary the strength and performance of the final product and it all looks approximately the same coming out of the chute. The ability to supply the exact mix, without compromising the schedule and without fail, is what ensures the success of CBM and the customers which use its products. Established principally in Ontario, Canada, St. Marys CBM is the building materials division of St. Marys Cement. Founded in 1975 by Phil and his son Bill, Deys Fabricating Ltd. is the longest continually operated independent vinyl liner manufacturer in the Canadian Pool Industry. Custom vinyl (PVC) replacement liners has always been our core business. In 1993 when Phil retired distributed items like pumps, filters and heaters were added to the business to better service the local replacement market. Looking to expand more, Deys Fabricating started looking for experienced partners to help build a larger brand in the pool industry. Wells Foundry Limited is a metal foundry which has been established in London since the turn of the century. Wells Foundry is involved in a variety of activities and has a strong dedication to delivering a quality product at a reasonable price. Moulding Facilities: Green sand moulding is done on conventional jolt machines for matchplates, accommodating quantities from 1 to 1000's. Wells Foundry has an air set moulding line for larger castings that can handle castings up to 2000 lbs. and again in quantities from 1 to 1000's, from loose patterns, matchplates and cope and drag patterns. The core facilities include shell and air set. Melting Facilities: Wells Foundry has a 4000 lb. coreless induction furnace from which the company pours a metallurgical grade of: grey iron in ASTM A 48 class 30, 40 and 50; and ductile iron ASTM A 536 class 65-45-12 and 80-55-06. Other custom grades of iron are poured with inoculants of nickel, chrome, copper and molybdenum. Quality Control: 1. In-house: The company has a spectrometer capable of analyzing 18 chemicals to .001 percent. A record of each pour is retained. Brinell hardness is routinely done. Castings are cleaned in a tumblast wheelabrater and visually inspected in 3 areas before shipment. 2. Sublet: Test bars are sent to laboratories where a mechanical test is performed to verify the iron meets the ASTM specifications.
