Forrat’s Chocolates specializes in fresh, handcrafted Caramels and Chocolates made on-site at our London, Ontario facility. Using only high-quality European Chocolate, along with weekly shipments of cocoa mass, cocoa butter, and natural flavorings from around the world, we craft diverse recipes tailored to Canadian tastes. Our mission is simple: to make premium chocolates accessible to all, without the premium price tag. At IntelliCulture, we lower the cost of farming through hard data. We offer a hardware equipment logger to capture data from farm equipment and broadcast it to our cloud database. From there, we identify inefficiencies, recommend corrections and help advise crucial spending decisions. Immediately, our focus is on idle reduction and route planning - two features that were prioritized based on interviews with farmers. These folks were very concerned with fuel costs of their operation, and these initial features provide the data necessary to save fuel costs on their farms. As we aggregate operational data, we will be able to advise operational patterns on a monthly basis, and capital spending decisions on a year-or-more time horizon. A number of precision agriculture companies are focused on analyzing climate and soil data to advise planting and harvesting decisions, but the equipment domain is currently underserved. The few products that do attempt to address the equipment side of farming are costly and typically specific to a single equipment manufacturer. Farmers we have spoken to have called these solutions over-engineered, and doubt that they are worth their high cost. We will fill this void by offering an affordable and manufacturer-independent tool and prioritizing features based on farmer feedback. We approach our development from the mindset of a farm manager, by spending time in the field and ultimately putting farmers first.

We are a locally owned and operated 100% plant-based mobile food truck company.  We operate in the City of London and surrounding areas. We aim to make delicious and nutritious food that keeps us and the planet healthy. We use local and organic ingredients and collaborate with other businesses that care about the health of the planet. We aim to produce as little waste as possible, donate what we can back to initiatives that enrich our community, and intentionally form partnerships that keep us accountable to our mission.

Julide's Specialty Ice Cream (formerly Bake Vibes) is a grassroots London, Ontario-based small batch hand-made artisan ice cream business that specializes in creating unique full-dairy, vegan, gluten-free-friendly and sugar-free ice cream and sorbet! We source honest, local ingredients to create mind-blowing ice cream and sorbet flavours that are as unique and creative as the people who enjoy them. Our goal has been to create an accessible and incredible ice cream experience for people from all walks of life.

Bake Vibes is founded and owned by Julide Cakiroglu. Julide is a London-born first generation Turkish-Canadian. With a background in fine art and animation and a serious love for food, Julide combined her interests to create a business that showcases ice cream as art. Soon after starting the business as a dairy ice cream company, Julide learned, by connecting to her customers, that there was a serious desire to see the same love and meticulous care put towards vegan, gluten-free-friendly and sugar-free flavours. Julide understood this was her path, to create an accessible yet genuinely mind-blowing ice cream experience for all.

Bake Vibes started in 2018 as a pop-up shop at Gathering on the Green in Wortley Village. Currently, Bake Vibes operates out of The Market At Western Fair District, where their first store was opened on August 1st, 2020.

I am Kelvin Van Rijn, the Founder and CEO of The Fritter Shop. I’m a Dutch immigrant. I lived in The Netherlands until I was 8 years old. I believe this aspect of my life has had a massive impact on how I run my business. I have always found that there is something so fascinating in the way European businesses operate. I try to emulate my culture through our day to day operations which I believe puts such a unique and attractive spin on how we run our bakery. I am also a graduate of the Marketing Program at Fanshawe College. Having come from a long line of entrepreneurs, I knew it was my calling to start of business of my own one day. Here’s the story of how The Fritter Shop came to fruition.

The Fritter Shop’s history actually goes back to 1989 when my parents opened up their first every bakery. This bakery was called Lieuwma, located in Downtown Amsterdam. It quickly became well-known for our top quality, consistent baking and neighbourly service. But after 12 years of running this bakery, they decided it was time for a change. In 2001, they decided to sell the bakery, their house and move the family to Canada in hopes of a new adventure. Ironically enough, our family moved here to get out of the bakery business. But after having trouble finding employment they enjoyed, they decided to open up another bakery, but this time in a foreign country. This bakery was called ‘The Dutch Bakery’ located in St. Thomas. This was the bakery where I learned my trade; working with my dad in that bakery for years as I grew up.
